Rosewater Shawl Class (Advanced Beginner - Knitting)

A perfect accessory for cool summer evenings (or cool office climates), the Rosewater Shawl is a quick knit that is far more approachable than it looks. This class is ideal for someone who is comfortable with knitting basics and wants to branch out to the next level.
Prerequisites:
- Casting on
- Knitting, purling, switching between knits and purls
- Binding off
You will learn:
- How to select yarn for your lace project
- Garter tab cast on
- KFB (knit front and back), YO (yarn over) K2TOG (knit 2 together)
- How to read a written lace pattern, and how to read a lace chart
- How to “read” your knitting
- Stretchy bind offs for lace
- Weaving in ends
- Blocking lace
You will need:
- 395 yds (361 m) of Tosh Merino Light or other fingering weight yarn
- 4 mm (US 6) or 4.5 mm (US 7) 40" circular needles
- 2 different stitch markers
- a highlighter or other marking pen
- darning needle
- set of T pins for blocking (blocking wires are recommended but not necessary)
- copy of the pattern available for purchase through Ravelry or in-store at Fabrications
